This checklist is an operational tool designed to support public and private organizations in assessing and managing the risks associated with artificial intelligence systems, in line with the Guidance for Risk Management of Artificial Intelligence systems issued by the European Data Protection Supervisor.

The checklist follows the entire lifecycle of the system — from the initial analysis to decommissioning — and provides practical examples and guiding questions to help identify critical issues, mitigate risks to fundamental rights, and ensure accountability, transparency and security.
